The most popular include turmeric, pepper, cardamom, ginger, saffron and cinnamon. What may surprise you are the health benefits of these spices. Turmeric is a powerful anti-inflammatory used to treat jaundice, asthma, toothaches, bruises and chest pain. Turmeric also inhibits cancer cell growth and can be used to aid cystic fibrosis and rheumatoid arthritis.
